Brogan Safety Supplies has nearly 100 years combined sales and safety services experience.

At Brogan Safety Supplies, you can trust that you will receive the right products at the right price and that all services will be provided by our specialists according to regulations and in a professional, timely manner.

Brogan Safety Supplies started in January 2008, when founders saw a niche to deliver a high level of service and a broad range of safety products. Its two partners have extensive experience in the sale and service of safety related equipment.

Brogan Safety Supplies has rapidly expanded and opened offices in Dawson Creek, Grande Prairie, Fort St. John and Whitecourt, increasing its service fleet and vendor offerings in the process.

Brogan Safety Supplies was one of the fastest growing companies in Canada in 2013 and 2014.

We are determined to provide the best service possible with the latest technologically advanced service equipment, while offering only the most recognized and industry-leading safety product lines.

As of January 1, 2020 Brogan Safety Supplies has merged with Guillevin International Co.

As a result of this amalgamation, Brogan Safety Supplies will operate as a division of Guillevin International Co.

Our new legal name: BROGAN SAFETY SUPPLIES, division of Guillevin International Co.

The change will be transparent to all of our customers as you will be dealing with the same staff. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your primary business contact if you have any questions relating to this amalgamation.

Sean Doerkson (VP of Operations)

Sean joined Brogan Safety Supplies in early 2018 after 26 years in the Financial Services Business with RBC.

He brings with him extensive experience in Business Development, Sales Management and Employee Development and Mentoring.

Sean looks forward to the continued growth and success of Brogan Safety Supplies under the Guillevin International umbrella.

He is proud to lead a company with a great reputation for caring about its customers, its employees and its communities.

Kris Orbell (Grande Prairie Branch Manager)

How many years have you been in this industry? Since 2000

What has been your proudest moment so far in your career? I won the "Presidents Award" two years in a row for most successful branch. I had the most growth Year over Year in 2016 and 2017.

What background do you have in the industry? I started in the Oil and Gas industry in 2000, working for an Electrical Distributor. In 2004 I went back to University for my Bachelors of Management degree. I became Branch Manager of multiple different oil and gas companies in the Grande Prairie area over 18 years. In 2016 I was hired on to manage a safety supply store and have been working in that industry ever since.

Why do you like working for Brogan Safety Supplies? Everyone works so closely as a team and helps each other out. It is like a big family.This is by far the happiest I have ever been with my career.

What do you most identify with in the safety industry? (this could be a product or even practice of being safe)Gas Detection would be one of my stronger areas, I have been dealing with many forms of fixed and portable gas detection since the early 2000's.

Dale Nickason (Service Manager, Grande Prairie)

How many years have you been in this industry? I Have been in the industry for just over 15 years.

What background do you have in the industry? I started working on the drilling rigs in 1989 for roughly 5 years. Then in 2011 I took a position with a Safety Company. I was trained as an H2S safety specialist, rope rescue/confined space rescue technician, Turnaround coordinator.

Why do you like working for Brogan Safety Supplies? I like how everyone works together and always willing to help each other out.

Why did you choose to work in the safety industry? I was looking for a different career where I was able to make a difference

Al Furler (Service Manager, Fort St. John)

How many years have you been in this industry? I’ve been in the safety industry for 6 years now but have been servicing the oil and gas sector for over 20.

What background do you have in the industry? I have extensive experience servicing gas detection systems (both in place and personal detection) and breathing apparatus (Self contained, Supplied Air and in Air supply systems). Due to previous roles in industrial settings, I have also have extensive practice using what we sell and can help customers make an informed decision when looking for safety options.

Why do you like working for Brogan Safety Supplies? The team atmosphere and new challenges that keep me on my toes.

Why did you choose to work in the safety industry? Knowing that what I do day to day keeps people safe in case of an emergency. As an ever-evolving industry, the changes to equipment and process also keep me actively learning while I work.

Randy Fenton (Fort St John Branch Manager)

“I was born and raised in Fort St John. I have been working in the oil and gas industry for 15 years. My previous job introduced me to all aspects of safety as I was a Safety and Compliance coordinator for a worldwide oil and gas company. I am very fortunate to have been given the chance to join the Brogan Safety Supplies team. As the Branch Manager, I take a lot of pride in the company's mission statement, 'service is our attitude,' and I am determined to continue to improve upon this motto in the coming years. At Brogan Safety Supplies, we strive to put the customer first and I encourage all our future and existing customers to come into our store to see it for themselves.”

Guy Greening (Dawson Creek Branch Manager)

How many years have you been in this industry? I started working in the oil & gas industry in October of 2009. I have had the unique opportunity to experience almost everything that the industry has to offer on shore, including emergency response. I started in 2009 with a safety company where I was trained as an H2S safety specialist, rope rescue/confined space rescue technician, advanced gas detection techniques, emergency response, and a second seat industrial firefighter. I then spent some time in facility maintenance, before coming to Brogan Safety Supplies, which is now my forever home.

What's the furthest you've traveled for work? I have traveled as far east as Weyburn Saskatchewan, and as far north west as Norman Wells NWT.

How many tickets/courses do you currently have? I am currently certified to service Fire Extinguishers, Scott\MSA\Drager Breathing Apparatus, Jordair breathing air compressors and fill systems, and personal fall arrest equipment. I also have extensive experience in designing, building, and installing breathing air systems for both mobile and facility based applications.

Best thing about working at Brogan Safety Supplies? The comradery of the people that I have the pleasure of working with, the extensive combined experience of the staff, the strict standards that we adhere to, and the pride of workmanship that we all share.

Why did you choose to work in the safety industry? I chose to work in the safety industry because it's something that I can be proud of. It also keeps me on my toes due to the always changing regulations and technology.

Marc Chayer (Whitecourt Branch Manager)

Marc Chayer is a former General Manager of Emergency Services, and in private industry he has served as a Safety & Compliance Manager and Emergency Response Team Leader. He also brings extensive knowledge as a certified Fire Service Instructor.

He joined Brogan Safety Supplies in December 2013, seeking to bring industry recognized and certified services to the Whitecourt Region.


The staff are patient, put forth extra effort, and are total life savers when their customer is in a bind. I will definitely tell other companies about the great service Brogan Safety Supplies has provided for us.
